Terms of service

These terms apply to every business ("you") that opens an account on Commerce OS ("the platform", "we"). Opening an account or using the platform means you accept them.

1. The service

Commerce OS is online software for running an order-based business: orders, stock, couriers, packing, customers, reports and the other modules of your plan. We keep the platform running, back it up daily and improve it over time. Modules marked "coming soon" are not part of any plan until they are released.

2. Your account

• One person signs up as the owner of a business and is responsible for it, including everyone they add to the team.
• Each login belongs to one business. You keep your password and authenticator codes to yourself; anything done from your login is your responsibility.
• You give true business and contact details and keep them up to date.
• Accounts are for businesses of legal age in Pakistan.

3. Free trial

A new business gets 14 days free, with every module. At the end of the trial the business chooses a plan; until it does, the account is paused (nothing is deleted).

4. Plans, bills and payment

• Plans are priced per month in Pakistani rupees and billed at the start of each month for that month.
• A bill is due within 7 days. If it stays unpaid for 7 more days the account is paused until it is paid; nothing is deleted.
• Moving to a bigger plan takes effect at once and the difference for the rest of the month is billed. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect from the next month.
• Prices may change with one month's notice on the Plan & billing page.

5. Your data

• Everything you put into the platform — orders, customers, products, stock, staff — is yours. We only use it to run the service for you, and never sell it.
• You can download your data at any time from the platform, and ask for a full copy when closing the account.
• We keep daily backups. If you close the account, your data is deleted 30 days later unless you ask for it earlier.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the platform for anything illegal, to send unsolicited messages, to attack or overload the service, or to copy its code or design. Keep courier, Shopify and other API keys you connect secret and within their own terms.

7. Couriers, Shopify and other services

The platform connects to couriers, Shopify and payment or messaging services on your instructions, using your own accounts with them. Their rates, terms and service levels are theirs; we are not a party to those agreements.

8. Availability and liability

We aim for the platform to be available all the time, with short planned maintenance announced in the app. The service is provided as it is; to the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost orders or indirect loss.

9. Closing the account

You may close the account at any time from Plan & billing; it closes at the end of the paid month. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable, or pause it for unpaid bills as above.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use the platform after that means you accept them.
